Drill 7/64″ hole for softwoods and might need 1/8″ pre-hole for really hard woods. Do your research and perform experiments on some scrap or consult with a professional before plunging into your doors and frames!!

Consider HAND TIGHTENING ONLY – Never use screw guns or impact drills for softwood cabinets such as Pine. Use extreme caution with harder woods such as maple or oak. Once you have stripped the screw or split your frame, it’s too late. This is not a job where you should hurry or rely on powertools.
